I’ll admit I’ve been a little annoyed at some sequels doing a lot of rehashing of the previous title, but this is exactly the reason why it’s required. Why should they care, other than the fact they were apparently the heroes of the first game? I don’t even know what a Trine is, other than the name of the game and the game it’s a sequel of. However there are things I’m currently playing that have more of a storyline from the off than “The Trine wants us to do something”. I can’t say the storyline really sucked me in, but the game is quite fun and seems quite worthy of putting the effort in. I’d heard of Trine in passing, but never any details. Having grown up playing the original Mario and Sonic games, I’m still a big fan of the genre. Will I find something new to love? Will I find something new to despise? I'll take a full half hour, no matter how bad it gets or how badly I do, to see if this is the game for me.
